Identity & Purpose
Separating their identity from their sport and leaning into becoming the person and player they want to be. When they realize that every competition is not a test of their value and worth, they free themselves to play with more passion and less fear. They are able to then bring their identity to the things they do instead of taking their identity from the things they do.
Confidence
Confidence is an action. We use these mental skills to educate and empower athletes to “do” confidence, not just wait to feel confident.

Testimonials
Working with Colleen at Notre Dame College was one of the highlights of my life. As an athlete on scholarship, she helped me understand what was within my control and what wasn’t. She believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself, and that trust motivated me to become a top-ranked player. Colleen transformed my mindset, boosting my confidence and changed how I viewed myself and my abilities. She was always straight with me but also had an open heart regarding my struggles. Her support, guidance, and kindness were crucial in my transition to a professional golfer. We are lifelong friends today, and Colleen remains one of the best mentors and coaches I’ve ever had.

Coach Groomes was my college Division II head golf coach, but her title only tells a small part of the impact she had on my young adult life. On the course, Coach was calm, centered, and always knew exactly what I needed in each moment to fulfill my potential. Off the course, however, was where she made the biggest impact. Her knowledge of various mental training techniques allowed our team to thrive and win not just one championship, but two. Yes, the winning was incredible, but what I truly gained during my college career was mental fortitude, perseverance, and a strong sense of self through her mental training. The lessons and strategies she taught me 10 years ago still guide me today. Finding value in who I am, not just what I do, maintaining good body language even when I don’t feel it, and keeping a gratitude journal have all helped me navigate life after college. I wouldn’t be who I am today without her, and I am forever grateful. If you’re reading this and wondering whether mental training with Colleen is right for you, take the leap. The benefits will extend far beyond your or your child’s time as an athlete—these are important skills needed to flourish in life.
